Faithful to the Liturgy of the Church

Part of what we commemorate when we fulfil our duties as members of SSIM is the heroic faithfulness of our forebears to the Mass.  That faithfulness often led to suffering ad death, especially during the protestant reformation.  It is very good to see that the Holy See has resisted attempts by the Neo-Catechumenal Way to have innovative elements of their liturgy recognised.

This is a good time to recall that the Church requires our obedience to the Liturgical Law just as much as it does to the Doctrinal and Moral Laws.  Let us pray that our Bishops will lead the way in 'doing the red and saying the black'!
